The first six months of this year are beginning to look busy for me on the exhibition front and fortunately all fairly local to Oswestry (a small Shropshire town, close to the Welsh Border which is fast becoming a mecca for art and culture!)
firstly, February sees a small exhibition in Oswestry Library with Gill Crozier (www.gillcrozier.co.uk) using the space they have kindly set aside for The Borderland Visual Arts network members – exhibitions change monthly so there is always something good to see there.
Then – in March Oswestry hosts its fifth LITFEST which this year includes an exhibition at The Willow Gallery titled ‘Painting with Words’ part of which features GRIMM – A QUARTET OF PERSPECTIVES i.e.: the work of three of us – contemporary enameler Maggie Furmanek, an inspirational Jeweller/metal worker Sara Piper Heap and me ( an evocative mixed media artist!) The private view is on Friday March 7th from 7-9pm so – if you are about please join us.
